Coaching Program

Our cycling coach, Paulette Meggoe, is available by appointment to coach members of Fast and Fabulous and Front Runners.  Coaching sessions are individual and may be arranged by calling Paulette at - (917) 557-1690 (cell) - she will negotiate a reasonable fee with each rider she coaches.

Paulette is available to coach individuals at all levels and abilities, from first timer to serious bike racer.  She’ll look at your position on the bike, whether your bike fit needs to be adjusted, how you ride up and down hills, how you corner, accelerate and brake.  If there is a quick adjustment she can make to the bike – changing the seat height or the handlebar angle – she’ll make it.   She can give you pointers on bike maintenance, changing and repairing tubes, what clothing to wear and what accessories to carry.

If there is a particular problem or issue you’re having in your cycling, call Paulette to discuss it.  She has plenty of experience with training and nutrition, cold weather riding, preparation for long rides or multiday rides and even bike racing.  If she’s unable to answer your question, she can refer you to other club members or to members of the New York Tritons, the LGBT triathlon club that is also part of Front Runners.

Paulette has done dozens of biathlons, a few triathlons, cycling stage races, criteriums, centuries, track cycling, mountain biking and just about any kind of bike riding you can imagine.  She holds black belts in hapkido and taekwondo and has completed more than a dozen marathons.
